A Place in the Country
The plan for this new country home on 14 verdant acres in Northern Indiana was inspired by the natural environment and the owner's interest in incorporating local materials in the construction. Designing a new house is a collaborative process that takes into consideration the unique needs and ideas of the client. This owner saw her country home as an extension of her interest in the environment and suggested the use of straw bale and salvaged barn timbers in the construction.
